Artist Bio & Exhibitions

Classically trained, advertising influenced, and terminally online—so anything goes.

Printmaking • Mixed media • Conceptual

Naomi María is a printmaker and illustrator in Richmond, Virginia. She’s back to the fine art thing after a long break to set up Veramine Press, her home studio with six printing presses. Her work is dreamy, silly, or occasionally challenging and presented in whatever media suits the idea best. She has exhibited work on both sides of the Atlantic and holds a BFA in printmaking from Herron School of Art + Design.

Currently, she’s working on prints for a new solo show in Chicago later in 2025 that is only words, continuing to knit an 840 foot long tube for an installation, and creating fonts and illustrations for a show and book about artificial intelligence.

Many swears were muttered and soul-escaping sighs were had while making this site in WordPress, using the Audrey child theme by 17th Avenue, over the Genesis framework by WP Engine®, and far too many CSS overrides. Fonts in use: Bitter, Montserrat, and Font Awesome.
